Cancer, Parkinson's disease, dementia, and epilepsy carry the heaviest burden of the conditions we study. Our neurology, oncology, and neurodegeneration programs run side by side so that discoveries in one area can be tested quickly in the others. Agave Biomedical was founded in 2026, and these interconnected areas define where our early work is concentrated.

Molecular structures studied in oncology and neurodegeneration research

Tumor biology and resistance

We study how cancer cells evade treatment, mapping the pathways that drive resistance so combination therapies can be designed around them rather than against them.

Neurodegeneration mechanisms

Parkinson's disease and dementia share protein-misfolding and neuroinflammatory features. We investigate those shared mechanisms to find interventions that slow progression.

Neurology and epilepsy

Epilepsy and related neurological conditions involve disrupted neural circuits. We explore how targeted modulation, biomarker-guided dosing, and gene therapy approaches can reduce seizure burden and improve quality of life.

Cross-research gene therapy

Gene-directed approaches are our core focus. Insights that emerge in oncology models frequently inform our neurodegeneration and neurology work, and the reverse is just as true.
